Tae Kwon Do

So this weekend my boys and Tim were in TKD Nationals. They all did really well. Josiah got bronze in sparring and Eli got a gold in sparring and a bronze in patterns. Tim also got a bronze in sparring. It was a lot of fun to watch and they really enjoy the sport. I am proud of them all!

Friends are matched

A friend and her husband were matched with a 3 1/2 year old girl at the end of October. They were on our original LID list for the regular program and we have been emailing and getting to know each other since the beginning. She called FOI to let them know she and her husband wanted to up the age requested and a few days later were matched with a girl off of the exclusive list. We are very happy for them and their new daughter is beautiful and very sweet looking. It will be fun to watch them as they go through the rest of this process ahead of us. It should help give me an idea on how long things will take once a referral comes in. They only waited six weeks from the time they got their letter of approval from the Province. It is very exciting and we look forward to meeting Chloe!

Birthday's and Vampire's

Okay, so it is my birthday tomorrow and I am feeling oldish! Tonight I am going out to celebrate with a girlfriend and my daughter and four of her friends, by watching the Twilight movie!!! LOVE these books and have been waiting for the movie for months... it is finally here!

Honestly, I love the age I am, and every year just gets better and better! Is it wrong to wish I was 17 years old again? That will most likely change tonight as I sit in a theatre with hundreds of screaming teenage girls!

Happy Birthday

Today is Tim's birthday! We celebrated last night, since Monday nights are crazy at our house...

Tim is an amazing husband and father! We love our life together, we love our children and the child yet to come, everything we do, we do together and we are continually blessed!

Life is good!

A call from Yulin

Last night I had a call from Yulin at FOI. She called just to let me know there is nothing yet, that she knows we are waiting and waiting and trying to be patient. FOI is trying really hard to match us and we were just on their minds...

It is great to have coordinators who think about us and are working really hard to get us a referral. Bob often sets his alarm clock for midnight if he thinks new files might be added to the lists.

I felt very reassured by Yulin's call, especially going into this week when the shared list is expected to be updated!
