CT Scan

Tomorrow Lilah has a CT scan. The surgeons want to see exactly what the bone structure looks like in her face so that they can form a plan for surgery.

We will be at the hospital for about five hours, as they have to put her under general anesthestia so that she will remain still.

Lilah hates hospitals and any sterile enviornment. She becomes very cautious and clingy and if anyone approaches her she starts to scream. I am hoping it will be pretty laid back until they put her to sleep, but not really counting on it. I have to put Emla cream on her hands for the IV's.... doesn't sound like it will be too laid back and I should prepare myself...

Praying all will go well. May God grant Lilah a sense of peace that comes from Him alone. May He also grant you that same peace, and wisdom, as you walk through ripples instead of turbulence.

I will be praying! Do you get to go with her until she is sleep? I got to hold onto Miah until she fell limp in my arms...she never cried because I held her the whole time. I will pray for peace for her! Maybe she can take a favorite stuffie in with her? Miah did that the second time when they did not allow me in, but they did give her something to make her groggy before taking her from me. She still called my name until she was asleep but didn't cry.

hugs to mom!

Praying it all goes well. I hope she does great with the anesthesia. And I'm with Lilah, I don't like hospitals either.

I will be praying for you and your sweet little Lilah! Hospitals suck they just plain suck, no matter how old you are! I can honestly say Nate is just now getting comfortable with his visits. We always brought "special" dollar store toys with us. Also bring some bubbles she can blow while they start her I.V. "blow the pain away" also we found kalediscopes worked at that age. Anything to get her not looking a what the "strangers" are doing:0) I look forward to your update afterwards!
Hugs,
Kim

Paige,
We will be thinking and praying for all you tomorrow morning. Give Lilah some extra kisses and hugs tonight and in the morning. I know how hard it is to hold them when they are scared, squirming away and screaming.

I hope the CT scan goes well and they are able to make a plan for surgery.

Praying and sending good thoughts your way. Had to do the emla patch once too. Since it was 2 hours before I had to do it at 5 am. I am sure it will make her feel better to have her mama right there by her side:) Hope all goes as smoothly as possible.
