Today, Zoe became legally ours. We headed back to the same provincial office as yesterday to meet with more officials and the notary. The Director of the SWI was there again with the nanny. The nanny tried to get Zoe to come to her and she refused.
Zoe is getting more and more comfortable with us (except for Tim!) and is opening up more and more. We headed to KFC for dinner (we haven't eaten there in years - too greasy) but they had a playplace and the girls had a blast together, running and screaming and laughing. She eats very well and almost anything, but loves her sweets. She has some trouble drinking, but we found her a new cup that seems to work well. She is still on formula. This morning she woke up very early, but softly sang songs in her bed. She reached out to hold my hand and seems to enjoy the attention she is getting.
We went swimming and she was very cautious, but was willing to get in and try. She still naps for 1 - 2 hours in the afternoon and is in bed at 8 pm. The nannies kept telling us she was very naughty and likes to bite, but so far, no problems. As she comes out of her shell, she gets a little more aggressive and doesn't like to share, but listens when you tell her no.
Her eczema is already improving with lots of Aveeno, but she does have a very raspy chest and cough and runny nose. Her ears are very jam packed with wax, so we can't see if there is any infection in them. She also has a slight fever.
All in all, it is going very well so far and she and Lilah are both doing well, and doing well together.
